The inspiration to form a company like Captive Resources can be found in the wake of the insurance crisis of the mid-1970s, when business owners were forced to pay exceptionally high costs for traditional insurance coverage or were unable to obtain coverage at all.

In 1985, Captive Resources’ founders created one of the first member-owned heterogeneous captive insurance companies. It became an incubator for what, years later, would become a company that exclusively provided insurance services to member-owned group captives.

That company was Captive Resources.

Today, more than 25 years later, we have grown to become the largest, most successful and most experienced advisor to member-owned group captive insurance companies in the United States.
