Captive Resources (CRI) is pleased to announce it is among the top 50 nationwide winners of the 2022 Top Workplaces USA award in the 150-499 employees category for the second year in a row. The award recipients were determined solely by employee feedback to the Energage Workplace Survey.
“We’re honored to once again be named to the Top Workplaces USA list of the top 50 workplaces nationwide,” said Nick Hentges, Chief Executive Officer of Captive Resources. “It’s a significant recognition given that several thousand companies are invited to participate from across the country. But it’s truly special because winners are determined based solely on employee responses to an independent survey, and we are grateful that our colleagues remain satisfied, engaged, and dedicated to our clients, especially during a time of such sweeping workplace change. A sincere thank you to each one of our colleagues – it is all of you that make CRI such a great place to work.”
The Top Workplaces USA award is presented by Energage, a purpose-driven organization that develops solutions to build and brand Top Workplaces. Results are calculated by comparing the survey’s research-based statements, including Culture Drivers proven to predict high performance against industry benchmarks.
In addition to the 2022 Top Workplaces USA award, CRI was named third overall and first in the medium employer category (250-999 U.S. employees) in the Best Places to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance and Best Companies Group in 2021. CRI also placed second among midsized companies in Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplaces 2021.

For four decades, Captive Resources has provided mid-market companies the ability to become insurance company owners rather than insurance buyers and to lower their total cost of risk. We do this through the creation, development, and oversight of member-owned group captive insurance companies. We currently consult to over 40 group captives comprising 5,500 member companies and $3.2 billion in annual premium, and which have returned more than $3 billion in dividends to their member-owners. We support every aspect of the captives we advise, from claims advocacy to operational oversight, risk management, financial services, regulatory compliance, investment services, and more.
