Captive Resources' CEO Nick Hentges continued his ongoing effort to support and develop the next generation of insurance professionals. Hentges, a graduate of the University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business, and his wife Mary recently endowed a gift to help strengthen his alma mater's risk management and insurance education and research program. The gift will establish the Hentges Family RMI Faculty Fellowship, which will fund one or more faculty fellowships as part of Tippie's Risk Management and Insurance program.
The fellowship will support an extension of Tippie's already stout insurance curriculum. The college recently announced a new Risk Management and Insurance major, launching in the fall of 2023 to capitalize on the school's "long history of insurance education and research."
"I'm excited to be able to help continue the tradition of excellence in the risk management field at the University of Iowa," Hentges said. "And I'm happy that we could support a new program and develop something that will help the insurance industry as a whole, as well as new professionals who decide to join the industry."
The Hentges' relationship with the University of Iowa runs deep as Nick and Mary have three children who all followed in their father's footsteps and graduated from the school.
