Hentges Tapped to Chair CICA Board of Directors

By Sean Flavin March 10th, 2023

The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) has tapped Captive Resources CEO Nick Hentges as the next Chair of the Board of Directors. Hentges has been a member of the CICA board since 2020 and has been the board’s Vice Chair for the past year. An active champion of young professionals in the captive industry, Hentges also sits on CICA’s NEXTGen Committee.

“This is a phenomenal time to be involved in captive insurance and I am honored to serve as CICA’s Board Chair. As CICA and the captive industry grow, I look forward to working with my board colleagues and our volunteer leaders,” said Hentges. “We want to provide the education, advocacy, best practices, and professional development our members need to help their captives create the innovative solutions that fuel our industry’s growth.”

Hentges brings more than 30 years of captive insurance experience to his new role. In recognition of his substantial contributions to captive insurance, Hentges recently made the top 5 of Captive Review’s Power 50 list of the most influential professionals in the industry for the third straight year.

About Captive Resources, LLC

For four decades, Captive Resources has provided mid-market companies the ability to become insurance company owners rather than insurance buyers and lower their total risk cost. We do this through the creation, development, and oversight of member-owned group captive insurance companies. We currently consult to 45 group captives comprising nearly 6,000 member companies and $3.7 billion in annual premium, and which have returned $3.5 billion in dividends to their member owners. We support every aspect of the captives we advise, from claims advocacy to operational oversight, risk management, financial services, regulatory compliance, investment services, and more.
